This is always a great place to walk & talk with a friend or just spend some time alone. It's a small place but always has interesting exhibits going on. We went today for the "Tempe Signs" exhibit ... it was a fun blast from the past. 😀 We also walked through the room to see the areas, including "Campus Corner", showcasing ASU and the local music scene (so many flyers & ads of the bands we used to see).
Admission is free but be kind and drop a fiver (or more) in the donation box. 😉 They have a good selection of gifts & trinkets at the entrance/exit. I've even bought a couple very nice t-shirts with throwback graphics.
Very nice museum interesting fun facts about the history of Tempe. The exhibits feature some different displays of ancient history and Native American history. The displays also feature modern history of the city, buildings, local favorites eateries and business. It’s a great place for families.
I went to the Tempe History Museum, and it was really interesting! They show cool things about the city's past, like old photos and artifacts. It's a nice place to learn and see how Tempe has changed. I enjoyed my visit, and it's a neat spot for history buffs.
A really small, but enjoyable history museum focusing on the founding and history of Tempe. Admission is free and there is a lot of information to read and learn, as well as interactive exhibits for the younger visitors. Parking is also plentiful and close by.
It is very small, as mentioned, so I left with many unanswered questions, but I can’t complain too much considering it’s free admission. However, if there was a charge to enter I don’t feel it would be worth it.
I had a really fun time! I've lived in tempe for 9 years and I was really familiar with a lot of the places described ... I loved the interactive screen of all the historic locations!
Please visit it's free
Interesting to see the history of Tempe and Guadalupe. Many photos and artifacts! Even though its small, I'd plan for at least 1-2 hours if you want to read everything.
Outstanding little museum focusing on the history of Tempe. Free! They also have an exceptional committee that arranges lunchtime lectures and presentations, monthly music groups, and other educational experiences for youth and adults. Did I mention it's all free? Last night we rocked the museum with Carmela y Mas and her band of exceptional musicians! Outstanding time!
The building is part of a city complex with a library, art studio, senior center -- plenty of free parking, well lit at night, on bus routes, electric vehicle charge stations, and convenient to the 60 freeway. They now have a raised solar panel array that shades one of the parking lots! Tempe did a great job on this. If you've never been here, you're missing out. If you haven't been here in awhile, be sure to get on their email list, especially for the music, the lunch lectures, and other performances...ALL FREE!!!
Informative Breakfast with Berdetta meeting talking about ADUs in Tempe. Over 120 attendees. Nice big room for meetings with good acoustics.
